I'm in a Beck state of mind right now, it's almost 4:20pm on 23JUN10. I'm allowing myself some "down time". I've been laid off so I ain't got a job and am feeling just a little bit like a Loser. I haven't even thought about this blog in sometime, but thought I could at least do something creative while I wait to hear about a job I've applied for. In the meantime, I'm gonna look for music I love.

Greetings and Salutations!
I have decided to try something new, something sort of unexpected and not my usual thang. I'm following two inspirational quotes. "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" And, "If it is to be, it is up to me!" I have had a lifelong love affair with, and an appreciation of music. I felt the need for a creative outlet. My work doesn't allow me to be too creative, so it's time to be startin' something!

- I am a music nut, freak, snob. I LOVE MUSIC! My taste in music is definitely eclectic. I grew up listening to the radio and amassing a collection of a WIDE variety of vinyl 45's, LP's, and EP's, you know RECORDS. One of my favorite things to do is to go to a live show. I've been lucky enough to see most all of the artists I love over the years. Southern California is a hub for great music, EVERYBODY plays here. I studied piano for 6 years in my youth, so I also have a deep appreciation of classical music as well. Music is just really important to me. I am always aware of it, whether it's coming from the car next to me at a signal, the score of a favorite movie, or the musak playing in a store. I'd like to share some of what music is to me.
